Wadsworth is 40 miles north of downtown Chicago and just south of the Wisconsin border.
The Lake County village of Wadsworth is known for its rural surroundings, rolling terrain and upscale single-family homes. Named after Milwaukee Road investor, Elisha Wadworth, it is situated near the Illinois/Wisconsin border. Commuters can board a Metra train in Waukegan; a trip into downtown Chicago takes an hour. Major highways connect Wadsworth to Gurnee and too many lakeshore communities. The city of Milwaukee is an hour's drive away.
