Hoffman Estates is quickly becoming a sports center in Illinois. In 2006, the Chicago Hounds of the United Hockey League, as well as the Chicago Story of the Major Indoor Soccer League opened its doors in Hoffman Estates. In 2007, The Chicago Shamrox of the National Lacrosse League and the Chicago Slaughter of the Continental Indoor Football League also are calling Hoffman Estates their Home.

Retail stores are everywhere in Hoffman Estates - Combined with Woodfield Mall, one of the largest malls in the country, Hoffman Estates is quickly becoming the Mecca to live, work and play.

The bulk of restaurants in town are mega-chains or take-outs, anything you can imagine. A few notable exceptions are Jockey Wok'n Rolls, an upscale Chinese spot in a strip mall on Roselle Rd., and Dover Straits on Gannon Dr., some of the freshest seafood around.

Seascape Aquatic, a recreational facility highlighting pools, a water playground, and volleyball courts popular for all ages. Poplar Creek Country Club offers a social. playground for a round of golf as well as wonderful facilities for networking.
